Blestman,

History shows you're right: many usually wait for the release of the first service pack, because of the "kinks and errors" usually associated with the release of a new OS.

I'm running the release candidate of Windows 7 at home on both my desktop and laptop and can tell you with great confidence this is an extremely stable version of Windows. 7 easily runs better than Vista (which already has a service pack out), and it will be interesting to see how it evolves as it takes the majority market share.

Thanks for your comment!

Personally, I have learned over the years to wait for the first or second upgrade to any new system that Microsoft introduces because they do not have a great reputation for working out all the kinks and errors before they make a launch. I will probably wait until NEXT October before I upgrade.
