There are reasons for gold to go either way, but I am still confused as to why people are buying bullion and paying 20%+ on the mark up. We offer the most affective way to buy, own and trade phyiscal gold. Did'nt want to spam this blog but our link appears appropriate for this article.

I HAVE BEEN A 'GOLD BUFF" SINCE 1964 WHEN LYNDON JOHNSON ANNOUNCED ON THE RADIO THAT THE U S WAS GOING TO MAKE CLAD COINS AND THAT "THEY WOULD CIRCULATE SIDE-BY-SIDE WITH THE OLD SILVER COINS FOR GENERATIONS AND GENERATIONS".

NEEDLESS TO SAY, THEY WERE GONE IN SIX MONTHS.

GRESHAM'S LAW CANNOT BE VETOED. "BAD MONEY ALWAYS DRIVES GOOD MONEY OUT OF CIRCULATION".

I cringe when I see statements like "soaring to an all-time high of $1,033.39 per ounce in March this year" passed on so uncritically. Adjusting for inflation, the March "high" wasn't very high at all, and the actual modern all-time high still occurred in January 1980, nominally at $850 but in today's dollars amounting to several thousand dollars at the very least. The only possible significance of the March nominal high is one of psychological import with people who don't understand inflation.
