First no bail out money for auto industry. They started to get themselves in trouble in the thirties and never looked back. Suggeston they should filde for chapter 11 this way they can work there way out of there problems and just maybe they might learn something. However I doubt it they had an indecation in the 70ies and agai in the 8oies but they did not learn if we give them money now they will just be asking for more and more. When will it stop? And for your information Mr. union presdent your just as much to blame as the auto industry. good bed fellows. Do what the airlines had to do. solve your own problems, maybe you will learn something. GM could start by selling that round tower in Detroit. Also the 700billion is another give away that Joe America will end up paying for. Wall street ; Stop telling a company what there next earnings should be this is just a tool for you to make money. Outlaw short selling, that takes cre of hedge funds and last no more day trading. A purchase should not be allowed to sell at least for six months. That gives the small guy a chance. they are the ones that are going to have to save your ass as always, and to think we do not get any million dollar bonuses. It would be nice if some of this got to Washington, but there too dense to figure it out. Money never solved any problems. Thank you

It depends on HOW a bailout is structured, but one should be attempted.

BAILOUTS ARE COMPLEX BEASTS, but one should be implemented to save the U.S. Auto Industry.

Try something outside the box like this -

http://pacificgatepost.blogspot.com/2008/11/solution-for-detroit-gm-friends.html

Toyota and Honda also depend on the same suppliers who feed GM and FORD. No need to let “Detroit” disappear.
