What utter bollocks. "With the exception of a few curmudgeonly old Republicans, there has been general rejoicing at U.S. Treasury Secretary Henry M. Paulson’s $700 billion banking system bailout."

The corporate media whores and the corrupt political puppets and of course the thieves and looters of wall st have been rejoicing, everybody else is outraged.
What a moron this clown is.

Let's face it; these are the unprecedented times spoken of by the ancients.

We are there!

Whoever would have thought that the “numbers” valuation regime of the world is the “disgusting thing” that “causes desolation”? That the “thing” which is “rich and glorious” and is the “great city” that “sits on nations and multitudes and peoples and languages” is about to “collapse”?

That the “great city” will first “split into three parts” each of which will untrustingly reject one another, culminating with complete collapse? Immediately after which, all the great cities (commerce & trade) of the world collapse?

“Then, there will be trouble such as has not occurred before since the world’s beginning until now, no, nor will ever occur again. In fact, unless those days are cut short, no flesh at all will be saved.”

For each of us alive and aware today, this is, alternatively, something to seriously think about.

Valued Customer is partly right! Anybody prepared for the NEAR FUTURE by reading " World made by Hand" or "The Turner Diaries" ... Both very enlightening to people that appear to Worship ignorance and the Dollar. We have the Road Warrior world at our doorstep. Stock up on Gold and Silver coins, the small denominations... They will be useful ... Bullion bars are TOO Heavy to carry with you as you run for your life with your family... the roads will be blocked by your starving neighbors...

Any nice lady want to join a northern Minnesota Survival Team? Military experience preferred but any great Huntress will do! We need a lot of help up here North Star State from people with common sense. NO Preacher, politicians, or Lawyers allowed. Any guesses as to WHY???

Thank you all getting the message out. Check out Empirium by Yocky. bobv230@yahoo.com if interested

Because that would be too easy, Marvin - and it makes sense. You may have heard this saying before: "If you can't dazzle 'em with your intellect, baffle 'em with your BS".

Instead of buying mortgages why doesn't the treasury guarantee and pay the difference between the interest that a homeowner can afford to pay (established by hoomwowner appplication and the interest rate to be charged on the homeowner's loan and recover as much of the deferred interest when the home is sold/ By this device, the homeowner gets relief and caan keep her home, the government outlay is somewhat limited with a shot at recovering the outlay, the home market is not flooded with unsold foreclosures and the holders of the mortgages can use the morgages for collateral, reserves etc, Why not?

Paul Cafaro, to answer your question: exactly the fools we are.

The American people have abdicated their sovereignty in exchange for this mess of pottage, and we can expect more of the same.

Geez, Paul, what's the alternative? Pitchforks and torches are expensive! We don't dare take the time off to march on Washington to set it afire, and besides, all we have to do is wait, and soon enough the torches will come to us, as history shows.

When the people don't destroy the forces of Imperial subjugation, the forces of Imperial subjugation destroy the people.

Blood money repays with interest.
